Tamworth Centre for Voluntary Services (CVS) is a Registered Charity (No 513398) and Company Limited by Guarantee (No 1658271) that aims to promote, develop and support an active and thriving voluntary and community sector in Tamworth. Our aim is to enable local people to be involved in their community, deliver services and influence the decisions that affect them.
To help us achieve our aims and ensure the organisation is effectively managed we are governed by a Board of voluntary trustees who help to determine the focus and direction of the organisation. The Board is responsible for ensuring that the organisation's governing document is adhered to and that it's strategic aims are achieved.
The Board is concerned with financial management, internal and external policy and strategy, legal aspects such as employment law and personnel issues, reporting and monitoring of outcomes, and supporting the Chief Officer so that they can effectively manage day to day operations.
