Strategic partnerships
Tamworth CVS works in partnership with voluntary and community sector (VCS) organisations, local government and other statutory agencies to shape the delivery of services. Tamworth CVS plays a key role to empower local groups to take part in partnerships and is directly involved in a wide range of regeneration, neighbourhood renewal, health and social care and other initiatives.
Since the change of national government last year and the abolition of Local Area Agreements, the requirements for local stategic partnerships have been relaxed significantly. In Tamworth, an in-depth review of partnership structures and priorities has taken place, and there has been a significant shift in emphasis from structures to outcomes. A single Tamworth Strategic Partnership (TSP) Board, and a series of task & finish groups have been formed to address key issues for Tamworth.
Click on the links below for the specifications for these task & finish groups:
Reduce alcohol misuse
Ensure access to good quality, suitable and affordable housing
Promote primary health interventions
Improve levels of enterprise and job creation
Develop a joint infrastructure delivery plan
Improve the capacity and skills of parents
Reduce the harm and health inequalities caused by tobacco consumption
Increase aspiration and educational attainment levels
Increase levels of physical activity and improve nutrition choices
If you would like to become involved in any of these groups, please contact Nicky Burns at the CVS office on 01827 709657.
