Volunteer Centre Tamworth promotes volunteering, recruits and refers volunteers and promotes good practice in volunteer management through training and advice. 

Volunteering helps people to learn new skills, gain qualifications and experience, improve job prospects, meet new people and make new friends and is a chance to put something back into the community.  

Volunteer Centre Tamworth has details of volunteering opportunities from a wide range of different local organisations.  No matter what your age, interests and the time that you can give, there are ways in which you can help, and groups you can join.  For example: Befriend people who have learning disabilities or physical disabilities, Support people who have mental ill health, Help organisations with your office & computer skills, Offer support to other people e.g. young people, the elderly, those who are homeless or in need, Fundraise for a group, or help them with advertising, Help out practically with driving, gardening, DIY or conservation volunteering, Join the volunteers at a local hospital or hospice, Help run a local charity by becoming a trustee.
